Fuel filter – car parts that you ignore

When it comes to fuel filters, I believe many owners are unfamiliar. Although its popularity is not high, its role cannot be ignored. It clarifies the total harmful emissions of the engine’s fuel system, reducing engine wear and blockage. Here are some tips for fuel filters.

First, the fuel filter role

The function of the fuel filter is to remove solid impurities such as iron oxide and dust contained in the fuel to prevent the fuel system from being clogged (especially the injector). Reduce mechanical wear, ensure stable engine operation and improve reliability.

Second, why replace the fuel filter?

As we all know, gasoline is refined from crude oil through complex processes, and then transported to various fueling stations through special channels, and finally delivered to the fuel tank of the owner. In this process, impurities in the gasoline are inevitably entered into the fuel tank, and the impurities increase as the use time increases. In this way, the filter used to filter the fuel will be dirty and filled with dregs, and the filtration effect will be greatly reduced.
Therefore, it is recommended to change the number of kilometers. If you do not change, or delay the change, it will definitely affect the performance of the car, resulting in poor oil flow, car oil and other phenomena, and finally lead to chronic destruction of the engine, and even overhaul.

Third, how long is the fuel filter replaced

The replacement cycle of automotive fuel filters is generally around 10,000 km. For the best replacement timing, please refer to the instructions in the vehicle manual. Usually, the fuel filter is replaced when the car is under major maintenance, and replaced with the air filter and the oil filter, which is what we call “three filters”.
Regular replacement of the “three filters” is a key way to maintain the engine, which is extremely important for reducing engine wear and ensuring its service life.
