Diesel engines use a high-pressure common rail fuel system, and the system needs to accurately control the injection pressure, fuel injection flow rate and injection time to ensure high-pressure injection. The workmanship of the parts is very fine, so there is a higher demand for diesel quality, especially the control of diesel cleanliness is quite strict.
If there is moisture or impurities in the diesel oil, it will not be cleaned. In the long run, the high pressure pump of the injector will be damaged. Impurities that are not filtered will directly cause wear and tear on components in the injector. Damage to the injector will cause problems such as unstable engine operation, reduced power, and increased fuel consumption, which will affect the normal operation of the vehicle.
In addition, if the water with too high water content enters the engine, it will reduce its combustion efficiency and cause the engine to accelerate. However, if it is added to inferior diesel, its sulfur content is high, and it is easy to react with water to produce sulfuric acid during combustion. It gradually erodes engine parts and reduces the service life of trucks.
At the same time, the high-pressure common rail system components are very expensive, such as causing damage to the electronically controlled injectors, and the maintenance costs are quite high. In contrast, the price of the filter is much softer, and the price is second. The main reason is to ensure the performance of the truck is good, prolong the service life of the vehicle, reduce the maintenance cost, and save effort.
