In the process of using diesel generator set, some users think that the injected diesel oil has passed three-stage filtration, and after a long time of precipitation, it must be very clean. Because of this, many users are not familiar with the structure of filters in diesel generating units, and the filters are of the same shape as the virtual ones. In the long run, the parts of fuel system have been worn seriously, resulting in undesirable losses.
At present, most diesel generating units use paper diesel filters with simple structure, small size, small mass, good filtering effect and low cost. Paper filter mainly consists of aluminium filter, shell made of stamped steel plate and paper filter element.
The oil inlet of the filter cover is connected with the oil delivery pump, the oil outlet is connected with the fuel injection pump, the oil return pipe joint is connected with the fuel injection pipe of the injector, and the cover is also equipped with an air release screw. The inside of the paper filter assembly is a drum with many small holes, and the outside is surrounded by folded special filter paper. The two ends are sealed with a cover plate.
After diesel oil enters the filter, it is collected in the filter barrel through the filter paper, and then through the outlet to the injection pump. The impurities and water accumulated at the bottom of the shell are released by the oil discharge screw plug at the bottom of the shell.

First, some users lose the upper and lower sealing rubber gaskets and oil cover of the filter element when maintaining the diesel filter, so that the diesel oil does not pass through the filter element, but flows into the inner cavity of the filter element without resistance from the gap between the filter element and the filter cover, which makes the diesel filter lose its filtering and purification function.
Secondly, some users have reversed the position of trays and springs of diesel filters, even thrown them away, so that the inlet and outlet holes on the cover of diesel filters are in an open state, and diesel oil can not be filtered directly into the injection pump.
Thirdly, when maintaining diesel generating units, some people remove the filter and find that its interior and filter element are very clean without any impurities and moisture, that is to say, the diesel used is very clean. Little imagine, this is an illusion, because the filter paper material of the filter element is loose and the micropore is too large, then the filter paper has not played a filtering role at all. If the wear and tear of the three precision couples of diesel engine fuel system, especially the plunger pair, is serious during the operation, it may be caused by poor filter element.
It can be seen that the filter function of diesel filters in diesel generating units is very important. We should attach great importance to the components of diesel generating units, especially the three-filter part of the generating units. Under the requirements of routine maintenance, the filters of diesel generating units should be cleaned or replaced in time, so that the diesel filters should not be set up.
