Hydraulic oil is the direct medium of hydraulic system. The power and operation control of all hydraulic systems are transmitted by hydraulic oil. The main parts causing deterioration of hydraulic oil are hydraulic oil tank, hydraulic oil filter, impurities caused by abrasion of hydraulic parts, etc.
1. Hydraulic oil tank is the place where hydraulic oil, heat dissipation and cooling, impurities precipitation and air discharge from hydraulic system are provided.
First of all, insufficient supply of hydraulic oil will lead to the suction of hydraulic oil pump, suction will lead to insufficient supply of hydraulic oil pump, directly lead to the wear of hydraulic oil pump, and soon make the hydraulic oil pump seriously damaged to scrap.
Secondly, suction will also make the hydraulic oil mixed with air, resulting in increased compression elasticity of hydraulic oil and reduced volumetric efficiency of hydraulic oil pumps and other working devices; at the same time, air in hydraulic oil is compressed in the work of oil pumps and working devices to form cavitations, which will damage the sealing surface, and also make oil pumps and working devices wear and tear quickly.
The prevention method is to check the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic tank frequently to ensure that the quantity of hydraulic oil is within the normal range.
2. Overtime use of hydraulic oil filters.
The impurities in the hydraulic oil adsorbed on the surface of the filter element can block the filter element and cause insufficient oil suction of the pump to produce suction. Regular replacement of hydraulic oil filters is the most effective prevention method.

At the same time, the use time of hydraulic oil is too long, the various characteristics of hydraulic oil, such as lubricity, viscosity, anti-wear, stiffness, etc., will be reduced a lot. The impurities in hydraulic oil are brought to the working devices and control components through the working cycle, which directly leads to the rapid wear of hydraulic components in the whole hydraulic system.
The prevention method is to replace the hydraulic oil regularly, or to take samples regularly for inspection, and to find out that the excess standard should be replaced in time.
