Selection of high quality diesel filter to prolong the service life of common rail system

Diesel oil filter mainly plays the role of filtering diesel particles, impurities and moisture into the engine fuel system. Reasonable selection of high-performance regular filters and timely replacement of filters according to prescribed mileage is one of the most effective measures to protect common rail system, reduce engine maintenance costs and prolong the service life of common rail system.

Harm of inferior filters:

· The rated flow rate is insufficient. It causes long-term overload of the filter and shortens its service life.

· The large aperture, poor uniformity and low filtration efficiency of filter paper result in early wear of common rail system.

· Failure of water separation and corrosion of common parts;

· The adhesives are not oil-resistant and the bonding is not firm. Causes the filter core to be short-circuited, cannot filter the impurity. Shorten the service life of common rail system;

· The rubber part of the inner seal ring of the filter is not oil-resistant and the seal is invalid. Short circuit is formed and impurities cannot be filtered out, which results in early wear of common rail system.

· Functional failure and circuit damage of fuel filter heating and oil-water separation ionization joint;

· Fuel filter heating failure, low temperature system performance and start-up are affected.

Tips for Diesel Filter Use

Myth 1: It doesn’t matter what filter is used, it doesn’t affect the current operation.

Tip: The impact of inferior filters on the engine is recessive. It may not be detected immediately, but it is too late to erupt when the damage accumulates to a certain extent.

Myth 2: It doesn’t matter if the quality of fuel filter is poor, it’s no problem if it’s changed frequently.

Tip: The measure of filter quality is not only the life of the filter, but also the filter efficiency. If the filter with low filter efficiency is used, it can not effectively protect the common rail system even if it is replaced frequently.

Myth 3: A filter that does not need to be replaced frequently is definitely the best filter.

Tip: Under the same conditions, the replacement frequency of high quality filters will be higher, because it can filter impurities more effectively.

Myth 4: The use of filters is as long as they are regularly replaced and maintained at service stations.

Tip: Because the diesel oil contains water, while maintaining the conventional filter, remember to drain the filter regularly in use.
